Sen. Burt Saunders, in conjunction with Florida Gulf Coast University, will hold an Energy & Climate Summit on Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the university.

The summit will include representatives from a major power company, who will discuss options such as wind and other alternative sources of energy, and speakers who will discuss what home and business owners can do to become more energy efficient and how they can benefit from energy-savings incentives.

Speakers also will include religious leaders who will talk about the ethical and moral aspects of working to conserve resources for future generations.
