The Biking@Pine Island group is sponsoring a free cycling workshop at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Matlacha Community Park, 4577 Pine Island Road N.W.

The workshop presenter and guest speaker is Alex Saputo, director of cycling performance and personal coach at Trek Estero.

The workshop, which is open to the public, will cover various topics of interest for serious or beginner cyclists with hands-on demonstrations and an open question-and-answer format.

Participants are encouraged to bring a bike, helmet, water and lawn chair.
