Naked Cowboy kicked out of FMB Times Square
Showing a little skin on Fort Myers Beach is normally nothing unusual, but one man changed all that earlier Tuesday in Times Square. Robert Burck, a.k.a. the Naked Cowboy, entertained the beach crowd with acoustic tunes, a rustic voice and rippling muscles, sporting nothing but cowboy boots, a nice tan and a hat oh, and a cute pair of tighty whities.
Unfortunately, after only a couple hours of entertaining the crowd, the Naked Cowboy was escorted from Times Square by the local authorities.
“I asked if it was because I was wearing underwear and offered to put on a Speedo, but they said I had to go,” he said.
All in all, the macho entertainer had a great time while in the square, saying, “there was great sun, lots of people, and lots of photos taken. It was incredible.”
For the last 10 years, the Naked Cowboy has wowed crowds in Times Square, N.Y., but recently made it down to the area for the Super Bowl, staying for a little while before heading to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, La.
Behind the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State building, the Naked Cowboy’s personal videographer Ron Israel said he’s the No. 3 attraction in New York, and Guiness Book of World Records’ “Most Photographed Man in the World.”
Ron said the Naked Cowboy likes revisiting Fort Myers Beach from time to time and looks forward to being back soon. For more info on the Naked Cowboy, to view pics, videos or join his mailing list for naked postcards, visit NakedCowboy.com or MySpace.com/NYCNakedCowboy.
