Sweet Memories: A Derby Extravaganza to be held May 2 from 5:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. will benefit the Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center. The gala event will be held at Heritage Palm Golf & Country Club, 10420 Washingtonia Palm Way, Fort Myers.
This event will offer an opportunity to sample delectable chocolate creations by area chefs and bakers as well as entertainment.
Participants also can bid on an array of exciting items and beautiful baskets donated by local shops and businesses at the silent and live auctions to benefit Alzheimer’s programs in Lee County. Ticket contribution also includes lavish hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.
Len Jennings and Stacey Deffenbaugh, ABC 7 News Anchors, will serve as hosts for the evening event. The event is sponsored by Arden Courts Alzheimer’s Assisted Living, Kathy & Steve Shimp, FPL, The Palms, Choices in Living Day Stay, Magnolia Court at HealthPark, and Osterhout, McKinney & Prather.
Tickets are $75 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available, including table sponsors of $1,000 which includes eight event tickets and an advertisement in the program. Kentucky Derby attire is suggested.
The Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, a United Way agency, provides a variety of services including support groups, a quarterly newsletter, a lending library of books and resource materials, a Safety Program, educational seminars, and training programs for professionals as well as family caregivers.
All funds raised to benefit the Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center are used to provide services in the local Lee County area.
