Cape Harbour Farmer’s Market to open for the summer

By Staff | Apr 22, 2009

Succulent fruits, garden-fresh vegetables, seafood delights and homemade breads and desserts are just some of the mouthwatering treats that will be offered at this season’s Farmers Market on The Marina Promenade at Cape Harbor beginning Saturday, May 23. The market will be held from 8 a.m. until noon and continue every Saturday through Oct. 10.
A host of quality vendors have been chosen to offer an array of locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as freshly made breads and pastries, local honey, fresh cut flowers, organic fertilizer and a dog bakery filled with homemade treats for man’s best friend.
Some of the market vendors will include Venus Veggies, Turtle’s Tomato Patch, Colleen’s Produce, B & B Organics, Inc., Lees Bees, Ralph’s Seafood, Bark Street Dog Bakery and Artisan Bread Company. Cut Throat Clams also will join the market in June. Seasonal fruits and vegetables including peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, peaches, oranges, mangos, papayas and pineapple are among the delectable offerings by Cape Harbour’s Farmers Market vendors.
In addition to the marketplace, merchants along The Marina’s Promenade will open their doors to offer shoppers an array of goods such as jewelry, clothing, handbags, candles and original artwork. Shoppers are invited to stroll the Promenade and enjoy breakfast, luncheon or a cool gelato while relaxing near the water at one of the many restaurants located along the Promenade.
Cape Harbour is located at 5703 Cape Harbour Drive in Cape Coral. For more information about the Cape Harbour Farmers Market, please call (239) 945-6116 or visit their Web site at www.capeharbour.com
