Police: Mother sought after leaving state with children arrested
A Fort Myers mother wanted for leaving the area with her children in violation of a court supervision order was arrested today in Pennsylvania.
Tiffany Cassara, 37, was arrested by local law enforcement and FBI agents in Bristol. The children are safe and arrangements are being made to bring them back to Florida, officials said.
The Fort Myers Police Department issued an alert April 19 after Cassara was believed to have left the area with her two children despite a court order requiring her to remain under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families. Cassara, a.k.a Tiffany Rodriguez, went missing along with her 2-year old son, Aidan Rodriguez, and her 4-year old daughter, Ashleigh Rodriguez.
Officials say they found her Fort Myers apartment empty and suspected the three left the home in a U-haul moving truck.
FMPD issued a nationwide BOLO, or be-on-the-lookout, for the family.
