Sheriff’s Office: Deputies shut down prostitution houses; make five arrests
Responding to complaints that several residences in the Tice area were being used as prostitution houses, dozens of Lee County deputies swarmed five residences and made five arrests Friday.
Fve search warrants were executed during an operation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, which included the SWAT Team, Anti-Crime Unit, Gang Unit, Sex Predator Unit and Echo District deputies. The search warrants were obtained based on intelligence gathered that individuals from the five residences were working in unison to promote and facilitate prostitution, officials said.
The search warrants were served on the following residences:
574 Thomas Avenue, Ground Floor
574 Thomas Avenue, Second Floor
343 Buena Vista Boulevard
386 Miramar Road
4402 Armeda Avenue
Arrested and charged are:
Maria Molina, DOB 8-6-69, charged with Prostitution.
Fernando Sica, DOB 10-17-77, charged with Engage/Offer Lewdness.
Socimo Gonzalez, DOB 12-26-68, charged with Living off earnings of Prostitution/Set up place for Prostitution.
Gloria Meza Zuleta, DOB 4-23-52, charged with Prostitution.
Eric Benjamin Murillo-Garcia, DOB 2-18-85, charged with Living off earnings of Prostitution/Set up place for Prostitution.
ICE and Lee County Sheriff’s Office victim advocates also assisted with the operation. ICE will be placing a detainer for deportation on Molina, Sica, Gonzalez and Garcia. The investigation continues.
