Suspect descriptions released in Lehigh shootings
Investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office have released the descriptions of two suspects involved in a shooting that left three men injured at a Lehigh Acres home Friday night.
The first suspect is described as a black male, possibly Haitian, approximately 20-25 years old, officials said. The suspect is about 5 foot 7 inches tall, approximately 150 pounds with short dreadlocks. He had a goatee and is missing an upper front tooth. He was wearing dark cargo shorts, a dark T-shirt and white and gray Puma tennis shoes which were old and beat up. The suspect was armed with a black revolver and, according to one of the victims, was the shooter.
The second suspect is either a white or Hispanic male in his mid-20s, officials said. This suspect was between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 10 inches tall and was heavy set. He was wearing beige-colored cargo shorts with a gray hooded sweatshirt and a white T-shirt underneath. The suspect had dark curly hair and a goatee neatly trimmed with sideburns down to the cheekbone area. He was also wearing Puma shoes that were brown and white and very old looking. The second suspect was also armed with a black colored revolver.
Detectives have determined that the shooting that accurred Friday at 5107 29th Street S.W. between 10:30 p.m. 11 p.m. was robbery related.
A witness to the shootings stated the victims were inside the garage playing cards. The witness told officials three men entered the garage, began shooting, and then fled on foot.
Three people at the residence were shot. One of the victims was lying in the driveway, while the other two were inside the garage when police arrived. All three victims were rushed to the hospital.
