Developer buys 20-acre parcel for future development
William R. Cary II of Red Diamond Realty Group Inc. recently announced that a Michigan developer has purchased a 20-acre parcel in North Fort Myers in anticipation of building a major retail plaza.
The property is located at the northeast end of the Tara Woods development entrance light, and continues along U.S. 41 to Nalle Grade Road.
“It will be mixed-use with some offices but mainly retail,” said Cary.
Carmen Naccarato is the new owner and developer. The listing broker was Richard Tucker Coldwell Banker Commercial and the selling broker Red Diamond Realty Group, Inc.
“The plaza will be the closest to the Lee County/Charlotte County line,” said Cary. “It is right in front of Tara Woods at light where it begins and goes to Nalle Grade Road on U.S. 41.”
Cary’s company has also recently been involved in the sale of Weaver’s Corner to a developer.
“Out-of-state developers continue to show interest in the area for its future value,” he said. “We are now negotiating with a few national tenants to anchor the plaza.”
Concerning Weaver’s Corner, he said, “It’s doing well, they are working to increase the visibility of the plaza with landscaping and new electronic signage. They’re also re-did the sidewalks in front of Winn Dixie as well. They have other plans.”
The sale closed in the last few weeks.
“The developer actually lives here now,” he said. “I believe he is working now with an engineering company to get the engineering-end done,” Cary said.
