Sheriff’s Office Seeks Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect
On September 7, 2009, at approximately 5:32 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K store, located at 19373 South Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers, FL.
Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit assumed the investigation. Detectives learned that an unknown white male entered the store and demanded money from the register. The cashier gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect fled the store on foot in an easterly direction. The suspect was described as being in his early twenties, slim build, approximately six feet in height. The suspect was wearing a padded black jacket, paint ball mask, latex gloves, black pants, and armed with a small black firearm.
There were no injuries reported.
