Garage Sale Extravaganza

The Foundation for Quality Child Care, Inc. is holding a Garage Sale on Friday, February 19, 2010, at Terrace Hall, 1313 SE 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33904. (Parking is located in Big John’s Parking Lot across from Terrace Hall). We are accepting donations of any and all sellable items. Items can be dropped off at the Foundation for Quality Child Care at Beacon Executive Suites, 8359 Beacon Blvd., Suite 412, Ft. Myers, FL 33907 (239) 425-2685 between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Items can also be dropped off at either of the Curves of Cape Coral, 1213 47th Ter (239) 945-6161 or at 231 N. Del Prado Blvd. (239) 242-2447. The Foundation is encouraging everyone to shop on February 19, 2010 at Terrace Hall! All proceeds go to fund the Foundation’s Emergency Child Care Program. Our Mission is to ensure high quality child care options are available to bridge the gap for struggling families who are not receiving aid from programs currently in place. As unemployment and home foreclosures are on the rise, there is an increase in human service needs. Our Emergency Child Care Program assists families with stable child care arrangements for children (ages 0-5) whose parents are contending with illness, job loss, foreclosure or significant reduction of work hours. Because a child’s early years are crucial to their cognitive and social development, they deserve every chance for a successful future. During this time in a family’s life, it is important that children are in a developmentally appropriate child care center while parents work out a plan to redirect their situation—whether it is getting well, finding a home, receiving job training, searching for a job, or getting more hours at their current job.
