Audra Holowesko is a recent college graduate, who moved to Florida from Connecticut. She came across an advertisement for the local Cancer Society.

"I thought it would be a perfect job because I'm a survivor. I'm not just working for a great cause, but as a survivor. I know the work on a different level."

She and organizer Nickole Henrda have been going out to local businesses to get their support and working closely with volunteers to support the event.

It will be held Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15, at J. Colin English Elementary. The 18-hour event begins at 6 p.m. on May 14 and ends at noon on the 15. J. Colin English Elementary School is located at 120 Pine Island Rd.

The school is a force behind the effort. "We're really looking forward to hosting that event for the North Fort Myers Community," said J. Colin English Principal Joe Williams, III. "There's been a big push amongst our staff to get involved."
