More than 35 local organizations and businesses will be on hand at the United Plaza on the corner of Pondella Road and N. Cleveland Avenue for a Senior Day event on Saturday, Dec. 3.
"This is the first event like this we have done and we are hoping it will be an annual event," said organizer Lisa Reece of Extraordinary Eventz. "We are covering a variety of subjects and different interests, so everything from seniors that are very active and want to volunteer or travel or go boating to those who need medical assistance will be represented."
Many of the 35-plus groups are private organizations and some are non profit groups.

"What we've tried to do is create an event that has covers all areas of interest for seniors in the area," Reece said.
There also will be dance demonstrations, health screenings and more.
"There will be everything from free samples from our local Perkins to the Blood Mobile to a wide variety of health screenings," she said.
