Cheryl Lynn Blackburn, 53, of Cape Coral passed away Monday, May 7, 2012.
Formerly of Swartz Creek, Mich., she was a resident of Cape Coral since 1978.
She was an active member in the following organizations, Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and American Legion, Moose Lodge of Cape Coral, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Elks of Cape Coral.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Blackburn of Cape Coral; mother, Wilma (Rupert) Gross of North Fort Myers; brother, Dan Boyer of Tomball, Texas; sister, Kimberly Lester of Spring, Texas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
A Celebration of Life Mass was held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Friday, May 11. Pastor Cheryl of The Grace Methodist Church in Cape Coral officiated.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Girl's Scholarship fund for the American Legion and Hope Hospice
