Police: Men attacked, robbed in Cape

By Staff | Nov 24, 2008

Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed two Cape Coral men outside a local poolhall Saturday morning.

The suspects attacked the victims at their car in the parking lot of Diamond Billiards, located at 1242 S.W. Pine Island Road, at about 1 a.m., police reports state.

One of the suspects reportedly punched a victim, who was outside the car, in the head multiple times after he refused to give them his money.

The second victim was initially inside the vehicle, but exited to stop the suspect from battering the first victim, reports said.

One of the suspects allegedly grabbed the second victim’s wallet from the car, with cash and contents valued at $46.

Both suspects were gone when police arrived. They are described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dreadlocks, and a white male with blond hair, 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Cape Coral Police Department at 574-3223 or Southwest Florida Crimestoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).

The victims told police they wish to press charges for robbery and aggravated battery, according to reports.
