Additional Arrest Made In Attempted Murder
On March 20, 2009, at approximately 11:49pm, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Trelis Road and Oriole Road, Fort Myers, in reference to a stabbing. When deputies arrived on scene, they met with the complainant, Jason Pinkerton (DOB 2/19/78), sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and suffering from multiple stab wounds. As deputies provided first aid, Pinkerton identified his stepson, Justin Tetreault, as the suspect.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation. A short time later, Justin Deems Tetreault (DOB 12/7/92) was located and detained without incident. He was transported to the Lee County Jail for booking and faces charges of Felony Attempted Murder.
During the investigation, detectives learned of a series of text messages exchanged between Tetreault and his biological mother, Susan Gaye Pinkerton (DOB 2/20/66), of 4090 Woodbrier Drive, Fort Myers. The nature of the messages indicated prior planning between the two to committ the murder.
On Monday, March 30, 2009, Pinkerton was arrested without incident and taken to the Lee County Jail. She’s charged with Felony Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Violation of Injunction or Protection.
