Entertainment Showcase set for Nov. 15
Back by popular demand is the third annual Tara Woods all day Variety Showcase of Entertainment. The day will feature 18 acts, from singers, comedians – even Elvis.
“This is the kick-off to our 20009-2010 entertainment season,” said Chuck Poveromo, a member of the Tara Woods Sound and Lighting Committee. which puts together and runs the shows.
The event will be Sunday. Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Each act runs about 20 minutes,” he continued. “It’s a variety of music and acts – from country to classic. There is also a ventriloquist act called Willy & Company that is outstanding. We had that performer here last year.”
Food and drink will be for sale.
“To see the 18 acts, it is only a $10 donation, and you can come and go as you please,” he added. Wrist bands will be given out upon admission.
Other members of the committee include Jim Brown, Fred Puhlfuerst, Lloyd Vickers, Lloyd Kelsey, Dave Mews, Polly Brown, Dennis Bayer and Stuart Berman.
Last year, shows averaged 200 attendees. The group puts on a series of entertainment events through March. After this show there will be additional shows after the beginning of the new year.
