The holidays are often thought of as joyful time of the year, with parties and special times with family and friends.

However, the holidays can be difficult for people coping with the loss of a loved one. The season may be full of reminders of a recent loss. During the holidays, even feelings of grief from years past can seem fresh.

To help anyone in the community who may experience holiday grief, Hope Hospice professional grief counselors conduct grief support groups, called Mending Steps. The counselors offer suggestions on alleviating grief and stress, how to cope with change, how to avoid disappointment, and more.
