Police continue to serch for purse-snatchr who threatened woman with knife
Police continue to search for the man who snatched a woman’s purse in a shopping center parking lot after threatening her with a knife.
The theft occurred Nov. 26, at approximately 1:52 a.m., in the Wal-Mart parking lot, at 545 Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers, officials said in a prepared statement released Thursday.
The victim told investigators she was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown male. When she tried to walk around the man, he pulled out a knife and tried to stab her with it. He missed, but grabbed her purse. The victim attempted to fight back, but the robber was able to get away with her purse.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’5″, who was wearing a dark green polo shirt with blue jeans. He also had facial hair. The suspect was seen getting into a gray SUV and driving from the scene.
