Bluegrass society accepting tax deductible donations first year

By Staff | Dec 28, 2009

The year’s end is when many make contributions to favorite charities. This is the first year the Acoustic Music Society, which hosts the monthly bluegrass festivals at Lee Civic Center, is able to accept fully tax deductible donations.

The Society strives to present great music in our part of Florida throughout the year. AMS has only recently been chartered by the IRS as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

This means that your donation goes towards the goal of enriching our community life with more and better music is now now fully tax deductible. They can’t yet accept donations on line, but your check to the:

Acoustic Music Society of Southwest Florida

8141 County Road

Ft Myers, Fl. 33919-7118

Make your check to the ACOUSTIC MUSIC SOCIETY, give AMS your helping hand, and be proud to take credit for your part in ensuring that Bluegrass and other American traditional music remains an essential ingredient of Southwest Florida’s community life.

Here are some suggested gift levels, along with names of individuals and corporations who have already donated: AMS depends on your individual and corporate tax-deductible contributions. Choose whatever level works best for you—let us add your name to this distinguished list, and let our community know that you’re here for us.
