Entertainment and a chance to dance will both be part of the next entertainment presentation by the Tara Woods Sound and Lighting Committee.

It will be the second feature of their annual showcases, with the first of the 2009/2010 season being an all-day event featuring numerous acts.

This particular show will be different from past stage shows.

“This show offers a special opportunity for those that love to dance,” said the committee’s Chuck Poveromo. “We’re having cabaret seating, tables for four to six to more, set up around. People can also dance throughout the show around those tables.

“It’s also BYOB – you can bring liquor in your own cooler.”

The featured act will be the Carla and Wayne Show, to be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Tara Woods Clubhouse at 7 p.m. The cost is a $7 donation.

Performers Carla and Wayne Deyorgi ended up at a karaoke show on their first date 16 years ago, according to their publicist, and they have being singing together ever since.

They’ll be doing show tunes from “Phantom of the Opera”, “Miss Saigon”, “Evita” and “Cats”. They’ll also perform a wide range of standards, Rock and Roll and Country favorites – something for everyone.

Both performed at many east coast clubs and events for years before moving here to Fort Myers eight years ago. Here they have performed in many venues.

There will be another entertainment presentation in March.
