A bicyclist was seriously injured after he was struck by a truck at the corner of Pine Ridge Boulevard and San Carlos Boulevard earlier this morning.
The bicyclist, who was part of a group, was west bound traveling towards Fort Myers Beach when he was struck by a commercial truck carrying hardware supplies.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the truck was turning left from Pine Ridge and apparently hit the bicyclist when his trailer swayed into him. The cyclist was pinned up against the right-of-way curb and transported to a nearby hospital.
There was no further information on the bicyclist’s condition or the incident.
