Deborah Noonan’s great grandmother Mary Ann Cooper was a celebrated spiritual advisor to British royalty. When Cooper died, Rolls-Royces lined the procession in Europe, with owners paying respects.

Noonan – also known as the Rev. Noonan – is a new business owner in North Fort Myers, who has opened the Center Of Eternal Light. A photo of her famous great grandmother holds a prominent place in her office, and she said she feels that through Cooper, she inherited her spiritual or psychic gifts.

Noonan is noted as a “top psychic” on a popular Internet site for those who look for psychic readings. (She’s listed as third in the Top 100 Psychic Mediums in the country at selectseer.squarespace.com.)

She also does readings in her own room in the new center.

Noonan got her reverend designation through the American Fellowship Center in 1988, in California.

Staff members each decorate their own rooms at the center, left, to reflect their own style.

“I started doing readings then, but my main love was the local Center of Eternal Light that was here in North Fort Myers, but since closed. I was on the board there for many years.”

She’s also worked with the police to help find missing children.

The Center Of Eternal Light is located on Professional Drive in North Fort Myers, and Noonan said, “besides being a safe haven for all who enter, our mission is also to be a source of Light and Love and to help each person to develop on their spiritual path.”

The center offers a variety of classes for those of all ages. Every other Saturday, it is the spot of a psychic fair, where individuals can come and get “mini-readings” and learn about the place.

During regular business hours, activities vary, from psychic readings to classes.

One interesting class The Neighbor recently attended was “Psychic Aerobics.”

It’s not what you would think. Led by Maria Loquerigo, a psychic medium, it is a class to help you “exercise your mind,” said Noonan, and make yourself more open to psychic thoughts.

“Everyone is psychic,” she said. “You need to trust your feelings. Some people just know when someone is going to call, or you may just know you’ll get that parking spot at Wal-Mart.”

She said the center offers classes to help with that kind of spiritual intuition. “We’re not a church, but we offer all kinds of spiritual growth classes, and are non-denominational.”

She has six individuals on staff, that do everything from readings to “energy work” and healing modalities. Besides Loquerigo, they include Carol Anderssen, the Rev. Karen Jones, the Rev. Pam Peters, the Rev. Rosanne Gauthier and the Rev. Cindy Bohnert.

There are even spiritual classes for kids. Called “Little Lights” it is led by Annette Coykendall.

“She teaches our children to meditate, dance with fairies and sing with angels,” said Noonan. She said the class was devised to be a creative fun time.

“Annette is a retired school teacher, and they do spiritually motivated crafts along with other activities.”

Classes are the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, for a $10 donation.

The center also has a lending library for those interested in reading up on metaphysical or other worldly subjects. “We have books from angels to unicorns,” Noonan said.

Her readings are $50 for a half hour and $70 for an hour and you can schedule a reading in person or over the phone. Other classes and services are noted on the center’s Web site.

Hours at the center are Monday through Friday noon to 5 p.m., along with nightly classes and programs.

The address for the Center Of Eternal Light is 260 Professional Place, Unit B, North Fort Myers and the phone number is 599-4700. For additional information, you can go to centerofeternallight.com.
