WHEN: Now through March 5th, 2010
WHY: In order to secure a spot in the school of their choice for the 2010/11 school year, families are STRONGLY encouraged to participate in the Batch 1 Assignment period. This is when families rank the schools they like for their child(ren,) in order of preference. Students are assigned to schools based on a lottery format, not a first-come, first-enrolled scenario.
Currently projections show that there are many students who will be entering kindergarten who have yet to submit their applications for the 2010/11 school year. It is VITAL they do so to ensure their greatest chance of getting their first or second choice school for next year.
Families are encouraged to call or visit any of the three Student Assignment offices listed above for more information.
