Bayshore Shuffleboard League caps season with annual awards
The Bayshore Shuffleboard League honored all teams that participated in this year’s league at the group’s annual banquet last week.
Bayshore Shuffleboard League President Pete Longjohn, with sponsor William Barnes and family, and Vice President Al Wilson distributed awards.
“The league is becoming more competitive every year,” said Longjohn. “This is our 20th year, and we’ve always had the same sponsor, Ellsworth Heating & Cooling, Inc.”
Ellsworth’s president William Barnes, along with wife Chris and son Zac, were there to help hand out awards for all at the banquet, which was held at Forest Park this year.
Shuffleboard players from eight local communities attended, and next year there will be nine in the running, Longjohn announced.
“Crystal Lakes will be joining us, and we have room for one more team,” he said.
Interested community representatives can call him at 995-8926.
