Margaret “Peggie” C. Gerrity

Margaret “Peggie” C. Gerrity, 79, of Del Tura community in Fort Myers passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, from complications due to a respiratory illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in New York City, N.Y., to Thomas and Margaret McDonough Curran. She is a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 55 years, William “Bill” Gerrity; children, Michael Gerrity, Kate and John Travaline and Meg Daly; grandchildren, Tara Lynne, James, Thomas and Devin Travaline and Kasey Marie and Billy Daly; sister, Patricia Dowd of Albany, N.Y.; and brother-in-law, Brother Brendan Gerrity of Narragansett, R.I.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Gerrity.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be on today, APril 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, April 5, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Please visit www.coralridgefuneralhome.com to leave expressions of sympathy for her family.
