Crist the clear choice
To the editor:
The Senate race between Gov. Crist and Marco Rubio is the classic example of good vs. evil. The governor has served the people of Florida, with dignity and grace and has demonstrated an understanding of our needs and a willingness to do the right thing, always.
Gov. Crist has placed the people over the politics and has established himself as being honest, trustworthy, and extremely capable. Florida needs this extraordinary man as our representative in Washington. On the other hand, Marco Rubio has shamed the Republican Party and his disgraceful behavior, if he is elected, will wound the G.O.P beyond repute. Rubio, while Speaker of the House used a G.O.P. credit card for personal pleasure. Tens of thousands of dollars of trusting Republican Party donations used by Rubio for meals, music equipment, liquor and more. It was nothing short of a pompous, arrogant and despicable maneuver that surely shows the character of the man. And then the advocating of disrespect for the president of the United States, which showed racist tendencies.
Mr. Obama visited Florida and was greeted warmly and politely by the governor. Rubio over and over again criticized the friendliness, done for the sake of the people. Mr. Rubio needs to be told that honesty trumps everything and self-respecting Republicans will not tolerate racism.
This is not an ideology contest, where two good people have opinion differences, this is good vs. evil and Gov. Crist deserves to be our choice for the United States Senate.
