William Skinner
William “Ric” Skinner, 71, of North Fort Myers died on May 31, 2010, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. He was born on September 4, 1938 in Syracuse, N.Y., a child of William E. and Doris (Blickey) Skinner.
He served four years in the Navy, was employed as a machinist and was the former owner of Tubby’s & Players Sports Bar. His memberships included the American Legion #376, Loyal Order of the Moose #1297, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3957, Fraternal Order of Elks #2742 & 2596, Fraternal Order of Orioles #294 and was past exulted ruler of the Fraternal Order of Elks #2596. He was the New York State Elk of the Year for 1979-1980.
A beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, dear brother and cherished friend to many, Rick was the husband of Elizabeth (Krawiec) Skinner, who died in April 2008.
He is survived by his sister, Sue Price; son, Len; daughter, Deb Medina; step-children, Deb Mahan, Peter, Tad, Jeff and Connie Krawiec; four grandchildren and a nephew.
Memorial services were held Saturday, June 12, at the Fraternal Order of Elks, 2163 Twin Brooks Road, North Fort Myers.
