Kottkamp qualifies for state Attorney General race
TALLAHASSEE – Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp officially qualified Wednesday for the Republican primary for Florida’s Attorney General.
“By officially qualifying, today marks the dash to the finish line to be the Republican nominee for Attorney General,” said Kottkamp in a prepared statement, “I’ve been preparing to be our state’s chief legal officer my entire career. I’m encouraged by the support I have received from all across the state. I know that as Floridians begin to realize the importance of the Attorney Generals race, they will send someone to Tallahassee (who has) a proven track record and is prepared to do the job on day 1.”
Kottkamp has been endorsed by the Florida Police Benevolent Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and 21 of 28 Republican Sheriffs. Kottkamp also has been endorsed by community and elected leaders throughout Florida including five members of Congress and 40 legislators – more than any other candidate in the race, according to the Kottkamp camgain.
