Initial report from July 29, 2010:
Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit announce open booking sheets for Tevin Mosley, DOB 9-18-90 and Brandon McCray, DOB 6-9-90. Mosley and McCray are responsible for pistol whipping and robbing another man in Fort Myers.
On July 26, 2010, the victim was walking on the sidewalk along Kingston Avenue, headed to meet friends to play soccer, when a red car driven by a female pulled alongside him. Two males quickly exited the vehicle, hit the victim over the head and face with a gun and stole his money. The victim sustained injuries to his head and eye that required stitches and staples to close.
Robbery Unit detectives assumed the investigation. They spoke to a witness who was able to identify the driver as Kaila Solis, DOB 1-3-93. The victim was also able to positively identify Solis as the driver involved in the robbery. Solis was subsequently arrested and charged with Robbery with a Firearm.
The victim was shown a line-up of photos and positively identified Tevin Mosely as the person who went through his pockets and stole his money. Further investigation revealed the other suspect involved to be Brandon McCray. Through another photo line-up, the victim positively identified McCray as the subject who pointed the gun at him and pistol whipped him.
Mosely and McCray are still on the loose. Deputies suspect they are still in the area.
