DUI Arrest Update
Impaired drivers are a very real danger to themselves and, of course, any motorist who is sharing the road at the same time. With this in mind, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office launched a multi-faceted campaign of education, awareness and enforcement to battle this threat to our community. We have elected to publicize the names of those charged by deputies with the offense of DUI during the past week:
On September 6, 2010, at approximately 12:45 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Rene Cruz, D.O.B. 01/12/66 of 3754 Deleon St, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of NB I-75 @MM131, Fort Myers, Florida.

On September 6, 2010, at approximately 09:48 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Steven Hoyt Zilen, D.O.B. 02/10/86 of 8239 Marx Dr, North Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 7836 Breeze Dr, North Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 8, 2010, at approximately 11:44 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Douglas Leon Tracy, D.O.B. 12/28/56 of 181 Lagoon Dr,
Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Kingston Dr/Palm
Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 9, 2010, at approximately 12:25 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Gretchen Peace Voorhees, D.O.B. 04/10/74 of 4309
Mariner Way, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of
McGregor Blvd & Cypress Lake Dr, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 9, 2010, at approximately 01:50 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Timothy Jared Sweely, D.O.B. 04/06/90 of 502 Henry Ave,
Lehigh Acres, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 19401 Skidmore
Way, Estero, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 12:50 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Stephen Donald Renick, D.O.B. 10/19/51 of 15680 Glendale
Lane, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Gladiolus Dr/S.
Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 12:59 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Lyndsey Janelle Louchart, D.O.B. 02/27/80 of 2814 4th St,
Lehigh Acres, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Daniels Pkwy &
Rickenbacker Pkwy, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 04:20 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Natalie Marie Vander Kelen, D.O.B. 09/25/87 of 1230
Wildwood Lakes Blvd, Naples, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of
Hilda Dr & Morgan Rd, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 07:37 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Howard Edward Armbruster, D.O.B. 07/30/55 of 8501
Fordham St, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Crystal
Dr/Metro Pkwy, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 08:06 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Christopher Charles Debono, D.O.B. 03/03/82 of 1915 NW
23rd Ave, Cape Coral, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Pine
Island Rd/Island Ave, Matlacha, Florida.
On September 11, 2010, at approximately 09:11 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested George Joseph Kane, D.O.B. 05/14/39 of 15036 Tamarind
Cay, Fort Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Bell Tower
Shops Ave, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 12, 2010, at approximately 12:24 am, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Richard Ryan Woodard, D.O.B. 01/20/53 of ‘5651 Pennant
Ct, Cape Coral, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Cypress Lake
Dr/McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Florida.
On September 12, 2010, at approximately 07:26 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested David Leon Smith, D.O.B. 11/11/53 of 6923 Harbor Lane, Fort
Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Cypress Lake Dr &
Learning Ct, Fort Myers, Florida.
