Crime Stoppers tip leads to capture of robbery suspect
Sheriff’s Office Seeks Robbery Suspect Update #1
A tip called in to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has led to the capture of Gregory Brock. The tip led detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit to the Days Inn located at 11435 South Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers. Brock was located inside one of the rooms in possession of a stolen loaded handgun and taken into custody shortly before 7:00 pm on October 23, 2010. Brock faces charges including Robbery and Aggravated Battery, with additional charges pending.

Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who severely beat another man before robbing him. Detectives are looking for Gregory Brock, a black male with a DOB of 9-9-81.
On October 19, 2010, deputies responded to the Iona/McGregor fire station on South Point Boulevard in reference to a robbery. The victim stated he left his house on Somerset Boulevard and walked to the gate to let his friend in. Once at the gate, the victim waited for his friend. At that time, a vehicle pulled up with a white female driver, a black male with dreadlocks in the passenger seat and a white male with a shaved head in the back seat.
The black male jumped from the vehicle, knocked the victim to the ground and punched him in the head and face repeatedly. The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet and gate card key, jumped into the vehicle and sped off. A photo of the suspect is attached.
