The Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral’s Comcast Holiday Festival of Lights will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, from 4-10 p.m., in downtown Cape Coral.
The annual family treat will feature live performances on three stages, a tree lighting, a Kidz Street play area, and a special early appearance by Santa Claus and much more.
Among the scheduled stage performers are the Skyline Handbell Choir & Chorus, Rick’s Music Students, Robin Dawn Academy, Dance Dimensions, Oasis Singers, Calendar Girls, Rhythm in Motion, Cape Coral Academy of Music, Bishop Verot High School Drum line, Hot Flashz Dance Troupe, Kobayashi Dojo, Cultural Park Theater Chorus, Kellyn Celtic Arts Irish Dance, Lariats & Lace Dance Team, Lisa Lynn Dance World, Maranatha Dance, Cape Coral Christian Worship Band and the Vineyards Church Worship Band.
Bob Knickman, special events director of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral, said this year’s festival will feature the most performers they have had since he began planning the festival in 2004.
“Right now we have four stages with 22 different performances,” he said, which will take place every 30-minutes. “That’s pretty good.”
The chamber’s Education Committee also will present its third annual Gift Basket Auction for Education. Each of the themed gift baskets, created by members of the chamber, will be valued at at least $100.
A special, free snow drift slide, with a 20-ton snowdrift and sponsored by State Farm, will be featured, as will the Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral’s Tiny Tots Train Ride.
The tree lighting is scheduled for 6:16 p.m., followed by Santa’s arrival.
