Jack Kiuru
Jack Kiuru, 72, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and a winter resident of North Fort Myers, Fla. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.
Kiuru was born July 22, 1938 in Otto Township, Ontario, Canada, a son of the late Toivo and Aino Nuninen Kiuru. He was a retired Electrical Engineer, at the time of his retirement he served as assistant to the Vice President of Engineering for the Nova Scotia Power Corp.
He was a member and International Director of Toastmaster’s International. Jack was also a member and Vice President of the Canadian Snowbird s Association. His hobbies included woodworking and HAM Radio operation.
He had been a winter resident here for the past eight years. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Joan Kiuru and his sister, Liana (Gordon) Kingdon; Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
