Lois “Losi” Pinney
Lois “Losi” Pinney, 61, a Cape Coral resident for the last 22 years, formerly of Sydney, Australia, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her home with her husband Nelson at her side. She was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Australia to John and Joyce Meade, now deceased.
She graduated from Wollongong Teachers College, Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, and was an elementary teacher for 20 years in a Sydney suburb. Following her 1990 marriage and arrival in Florida, Losi and Nelson formed a construction company and later a tax preparation business. She was a full participant in both ventures even as she dealt with cancer for 15 years. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Nelson Pinney of Cape Coral; her sister-in-law, Lynna Baker, also of Cape Coral; her brother, Stephen Meade of Sydney, Australia; as well as two nephews and a niece whom also reside in Sydney.
A celebration of life was held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 26, at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral. The family received friends for refreshments immediately following in the church narthex.
