North Fort Myers Chamber ready to hold socials again
After a full year of not holding any social events, the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce is ready to get back into business, with a new event at a new location.
The Chamber will debut the Monthly Morning Mingle on Wednesday, March 3, which is a rebranded version of the breakfast networking event held at Perkins.
This time they’ll be having the breakfast this month at our newest member, The Hungarian Kitchen, 4529 Bayshore Road in Weavers Corner.
Breakfast will include scrambled eggs, Esther’s Homemade Hungarian sausage, fried potatoes, toast and coffee, for only $9.36 including tax and tip.
“It’s a way for our members and businesses to get out and have a morning breakfast. We will have raffle prizes so they need to bring a lot of business cards,” said North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Wendy Murray.
The Chamber announced the plan two weeks ago and the reception was good. Murray said it was just time to get things back to normal.
“It was time to get people involved again. More people are getting vaccinations. We will still require people to wear masks and we have room to social distance,” Murray said. “We’re trying to take as many precautions as we can.”
The Chamber also plans to hold its first Business After Hours in the second week of April at a location to be determined. The monthly Business Leaders Luncheon is likely to begin again in May.
“It was be great when people think its safe to come out and network,” Murray said. “The Welcome Center is open and it’s been very busy.”
Murray said that the Chamber is currently on its membership drive, which has resulted in several new members and renewals.
The Chamber is at 2787 N. Tamiami Trail No. 10, in the Shell Factory. For more information, go to business.nfmchamber.org or call 997-9111.
