Bike Night, diaper party this Saturday
When the Biker Bay and American Legion Post 336 holds their next monthly Bike Night on Saturday, Oct. 16, those who plan on attending had better bring plenty of diapers.
That’s because the event is going to feature a diaper party to help out a local mom-to-be.
Bikers will be encouraged to bring items for a baby shower for Whitney Mullins, who is expecting her first child in a matter of weeks.
Clint “Lucky” Mills, owner of Biker Bay, said Whitney is new to the area and they would like to help make her feel welcome by providing some of the things a new mother will need.
Among the items needed are diapers, wet wipes, onesies and any other baby item. There also will be a donation jar for those who just want to donate cash.
There will be two Biker Bay baskets raffled off to help raise more money, and all who donate will receive three raffle tickets for the drawing.
Bike Night also will have its usual assortment of vendors, food, drinks, music, raffles and a 50/50 drawing.
Bike Night is held on the third Saturday of every month, with each one being done to help others. Last month was to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital Oncology, and the month before was to benefit a member of the bike community, who was in the hospital with COVID for months, Mills said.
“Every month I try to do something to give back to someone else,” Mills said. “They’re always geared to do something for somebody.”
The Biker Bay and the American Legion Post 336 is at 5780 Bayshore Road.
