My Spa opens in the Marinatown Yacht Club

Long-time North Fort Myers resident Vicki Miller has opened a new business in the area – My Spa – located in the Marinatown Yacht Club professional building off Hancock Bridge Parkway.
“I was born and raised in North Fort Myers,” she said.
She’s been a nail technician for 18 years, working at various salons in the area. For the last several years, she’s been working by Sanibel, but an opportunity to be closer to home, her children, friends and family.
“This is my first time out actually owning a business venture,” she said.
She describes her new space as “comfy, cozy and with calming colors.”
My Spa provides nail and skin care services, with a complete menu you can view at cmyspa.com.
Miller is the owner and technician, saying she takes pride in the clean, relaxing environment she has created for the multitude beauty services she provides. With 18 years of experience, her skills and a passion for health and beauty of skin and nails are what she is offering to customers.
“I love the field, I love my job, I love going to work,” she said. “It’s pampering people. When they leave they are more relaxed. It’s a feel good thing.”
The intimacy of her smaller business suite is something she feels reflects her business philosophy. She offers one-on-one private sessions.
“A lot of people go to shops where you may not get to talk to someone; my shop is different,” she said.
Her hours are Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., by appointment.
And knowing how time can be a factor for many, besides scheduled appointments, she also offers “express” services and approximate times noted for each service on her menu.
“The most popular service I have is the Integra-Peel,” she said. It’s 45 minutes for $60, a mild resurfacing of dead skin cells, including derma-plane, oxygen and cryo-therapy. “It has amazing, immediate results. They [clients] see the life back in their face, a rejuvenation.”
Miller was trained at Cindy Rager Skin Care Clinic in Fort Myers.
“They are well known for skin treatments,” she said. “I started with nails and went back to school for skin care to add to my services.”
She has several “green tea” offerings on her menu.
“Green tea is great for anti-aging, and a more natural product,” she said of the now-popular anti-oxidant.
She offers a Green Tea Anti-Age Spa Facial for firming, tightening and age management, a Green Tea Back Facial and treatments with mud masks and massage. She also offers hair removal, express and spa manicures and pedicures and more.
A graduate of North Fort Myers High School, Miller lives in the same house she grew up in.
“We bought it from my parents,” she said.
She’s married to her high school sweetheart, who she met at North Fort Myers High. “We’ve been married for 12 years. We have two boys, 6 and 10.”
In its spare time, the family loves to go fishing, with a favorite spot of the Captiva Pass.
“The boys are into BMX racing in Cape Coral so we lot of time at the track,” she said.
Miller admits she was a little nervous about starting a new business in this economy.
“Then I thought, my family and friends couldn’t come to me there, but do now when I’m closer,” she said.
She is hoping to see a lot of new and old friends at the shop.
To help build business, she’s offering a $10 referral program, and a Birthday Club.
My Spa is located in the Marinatown Yacht Club professional building off Hancock Bridge Parkway, 3444 Marinatown Lane, Suite 23 (second floor), in the professional building between Harbourside Bar & Grill and Coconuts restaurants.
