Lee Memorial hospitals hold open house events

2 min read

Lee Memorial Hospital wants you to “Get to know us before you need us.” To do that they have launched a series of open house events over two weeks in April at each of the four hospital facilities in Lee County.

Cape Coral’s open house event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 23. It is the third open house in the series, which starts on April 16 (10 a.m.-noon) at Gulf Coast Hospital.

Last year’s open house event at Cape Hospital was attended by 63 people.

“We expect the attendance to grow, said chief administration officer Scott Kashman. “We’ve gotten the work out to the public better this year so I think we will see a higher turnout.”

Some of the topics open house visitors have inquired about include the hospital’s primary care physicians, volunteering opportunities, general services like women’s care and operating room services as well as radiology and nursing.

“We are proud of our new stroke certification and the new chest pain unit,” said Kashman.

He also pointed out the hospital’s new wellness education center and the pathway to discovery. The pathway allows patients and others a chance to do therapy outdoors.

“There are exercise stations along the pathway on the campus and a healing garden,” said Kashman.

In line after the Gulf Coast Hospital open house is one at Lee Memorial Hospital on Cleveland Avenue the next day, 1-3 p.m., on Thursday, April 17. The last in the series is at HealthPark Medical Center in South Fort Myers 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24.

Advance reservations are requested by phone or email.

Guests will meet with hospital administrators and patient care team members, enjoy light refreshments and for those interested in learning more about what each hospital has to offer, such as the latest equipment, specially trained doctors, nurses and other health professionals, a short tour will be available.

Lee Memorial Health System hospitals have been recognized nationally for quality care and patient satisfaction.
