Fall Festival at Shell Factory on Saturday
The Shell Factory and Nature Park at 2787 N. Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers will hold its Family Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The festival will feature live entertainment by DJ Ali, kids’ games, a corn-on-the-cob eating contest for children and adults, and a Nature Park Family Fun Walk.
“The guided Nature Park walk will include interactivity of some kind with the animals,” promises Rick Tupper, CFO and marketing director for the Shell Factory. “This year is our first Family Fall Festival. We wanted an event families can enjoy for a whole day without spending an arm and a leg for it,” he added.
Admission to the festival is free. In addition, a cookout and rides on the new Soaring Eagle zip line will be offered at special festival pricing.
The Fort Myers Shell Factory, opened in 1954, is one of the largest and longest-running family attractions in Southwest Florida. Covering 18 acres, the Shell Factory complex boasts one of the largest collections of sea shells and other sea life specimens in the world, a Nature Park with hundreds of animals, birds, fish and reptiles in their natural habitats, a 60,000-square-foot gift and souvenir shop, cafes, a restaurant with live entertainment nightly, a botanical garden, a fun park for the children, a sports park for pets, and possibly the largest Christmas gift and decor store in Southwest Florida.
