The School District of Lee County to host recruitment event Dec. 15

District seeking teachers, non-instructional staff at three Lee County schools

The School District of Lee County is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, Dec. 15 to recruit for a range of instructional and non-instructional positions at Fort Myers Middle Academy, G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School and Manatee Elementary School in Lee County.

The hiring event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lee County Public Education Center, 2855 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers. Computers will be available onsite for job seekers to apply online, and interviews and on-the-spot job opportunities will be available. To register, click here.

Fort Myers Middle, G. Weaver Hipps Elementary and Manatee Elementary have a variety of positions available with a focus on high-demand teaching and guest teaching positions for English, elementary education, science, math and special education, as well as for non-instructional positions including instructional support professionals, food service professionals, custodial staff and more.

Individuals who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in any field can become eligible for Florida teacher certification by passing a subject area exam in their area of expertise, completing additional coursework or enrolling in a teacher preparation program.
