FEMA free mitigation advice sites closing in Lee and St. Johns counties

LAKE MARY, Fla. – The FEMA free mitigation advice sites are closing today in St. Johns and Lee counties. The locations are:

HOME DEPOT

Lee County

3031 NE Pine Island Road

Cape Coral

HOME DEPOT

St. Johns County

1750 U.S. Highway 1 South

Saint Augustine

New locations in Manatee and Putnam counties will be announced in the coming days as FEMA continues to help Floridians rebuild from Hurricane Nicole and Hurricane Ian. Survivors can still call the FEMA Mitigation Line to speak with mitigation specialists. Mitigation is an effort to reduce the loss of life and property damage by lessening the impact of a disaster. The number is 833-336-2487 and calls are accepted Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
