Small business class starts July 31

Individuals who are thinking about starting their own business and have not developed a plan to guide their start up or strengthen an existing business. Goodwill’s SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute is scheduled for July 31 to Sept. 7.

The MicroEnterprise Institute is a six-week training program to help emerging entrepreneurs start new ventures and grow small businesses. Graduates will complete a feasibility plan and management training course, working with mentors who are successful business people, and hear from subject matter experts in areas of accounting, legal marketing, insurance and funding.

Classes will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 815 Nicholas Parkway East, Cape Coral.

Recent program graduate Susan said about the class, “Attending MicroEnterprise Institute has been a great steppingstone to deciding about opening a business. It has prepared me to scrutinize the most important aspects of becoming a small business owner.”
