Lehigh Regional Medical Center named in Becker’s Great Community Hospitals
Lehigh Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, announced that it has been recognized as one of the top Community Hospitals in the United States by Becker’s Healthcare. Lehigh Regional was among five community hospitals across Florida recognized in this prestigious list.
Along with four other Prime Healthcare hospitals, a total of 153 facilities nation-wide were highlighted for their clinical excellence, compassionate care, and economic impact on their communities. Inclusion on this list was based on data from U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CMS star ratings, The Leapfrog Group safety grades, and The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

In July, it was announced that Lehigh Regional Medical Center was recognized for outstanding social responsibility, receiving “A” grades on the 2023-24 Lown Institute Hospitals Index in Clinical Outcomes and Cost Efficiency, ranking among the top 10% in the nation and #24 out of 168 in the state for Clinical Outcomes, measuring patient mortality and readmission rates over various periods of time. Cost Efficiency measures risk-adjusted clinical outcomes over cost per patient adjusted for local cost of living and labor costs and ranks Lehigh Regional Medical Center among the top 15% nationally.
