County accepting vendor, concessionaire, inquiries for Ag Expo 2025
Preparations are currently under way for the Southwest Florida Ag Expo next year, as organizers are seeking indoor and outdoor vendors and concessionaires.
Lee County Civic Center Complex Supervisor Makenzie Vance said they are currently accepting inquiries through Aug. 18.
The hope is to bring back some of the favorites, while attracting other things the community wants.
Forms are available at swflagexpo.com, under participate and then indoor and outdoor vendors. Once the deadline for the inquiries is received, a review process will kick off and the individual will be notified if they were chosen to participate in the Ag Expo.
The next Southwest Florida Ag Expo will be held from Feb. 27, through March 9, 2025, at the Lee County Civic Center complex, 11831 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers.
Vance said the outdoor vendors are generally their food vendors and concessionaires, while the vendors inside the Civic Center typically give out information, advertise their business, or sell items.
There are different requirements for the vendors and concessionaires, such as their power needs and the capacity to place them in a specific location due to the length and width of what they are using to set up. Vance said there is not a specific number of vendors they are seeking, as it all depends on the set up.
The livestock portion is also under way.
“That is the main focus for this event — the livestock component and the education piece and the auction as well. This is very important to our community,” Vance said.
She said they are working on the rule book.
“We hope to have that out by the end of the month,” Vance said, as individuals are ready to purchase their animal, or have purchased it for the Ag Expo already.
The expo has a large participation of 4-H members and the county last year made this a focus of the county-organized event.
