They’re on a roll.

The 2008-2009 Entertainment Season at the Tara Woods Community has been extremely successful, with another event coming up to add to the series.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, singer Brian Roman will grace the stage in the fourth of the season’s events. Billed as a “wonderful tenor,” Roman will be performing songs by Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and other artists. Roman has performed in numerous venues from New York to Florida, and in Great Britain and Canada.

The Tara Woods Sound and Lighting Committee is the group that organizes the shows.

“The performances have been great,” said spokesman Chuck Poveromo.

A big plus has been the addition of a new sound system.

“It’s excellent,” said Poveromo. “We’re really happy with it, people can hear very well.”

Last month, Sonny LaRosa’s Jazz Band Show was the featured entertainer.

“They are known as America’s Youngest Jazz Band, all kids under

12-years-old,” said Poveromo. “They’ve played at Branson in the U.S. and in Switzerland and did a great job here.”

The first event of the season, held in November, was an all-day variety showcase of entertainment featuring 17 acts.

The shows will continue with a March 27 performance by ventriloquist Peggy Miller to end the series. Miller will come with sidekick “Willie,” who sings and wisecracks. Peggy Miller’s Willie & Company show will be joined by Bakey and Betty’s Country Musicians for that show.
