Traffic Safety Tip of the Week: Driving under the influence of alcohol places everyone at risk on the roadways. Don’t let parties and celebrations lead to a tragedy. Tips include designating a non-drinking driver; if you’re hosting a party serve high protein foods, offer non-alcoholic beverages and never serve alcohol to those under 21. You can report impaired drivers on Lee County roadways by calling 9-1-1. Remember, “Over the Limit. Under Arrest.”

2. Pine Island Road & U.S. 41, North Fort Myers
3. Sunshine Boulevard, Lehigh Acres
Tuesday, March 17, 2009, the Traffic Unit will target at least one of the following three locations for enforcement:
1. South Cleveland Avenue (U.S. 41), Fort Myers
2. Imperial Parkway, Bonita Springs
3. Business U.S. 41 (North Tamiami Trail), North Fort Myers
Wednesday, March 18, 2009, the Traffic Unit will target at least one of the following three locations for enforcement:
1. Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers
2. Milwaukee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres
3. Three Oaks Parkway & Alico Road, Fort Myers
Thursday, March 19, 2009, the Traffic Unit will target at least one of the following three locations for enforcement:
1. U.S. 41 & Lake Fairways Boulevard, North Fort Myers
2. Sunshine Boulevard, Lehigh Acres
3. Dean Street, Bonita Springs
Friday, March 20, 2009, the Traffic Unit will target at least one of the following three locations for enforcement:
1. Pine Ridge Road, Fort Myers
2. Del Prado Boulevard Extension, Cape Coral / North Fort Myers
