Conference on Aging to Explore Local Health and Care Issues, Including Economy

Hope Hospice and Community Services will host the Eighth Annual Southwest Florida Conference on Aging, to be held in Fort Myers on Friday, April 17. The Conference is sponsored by Osterhout, McKinney, & Prather, PA., Elder Law Attorneys.

The conference will provide information on a wide range of issues related to aging, including the impact of current economic conditions. Other topics include care options, protection from abuse and driving competence.

“Each year, this conference gives us real insight into current and future health care needs in our community,” according to Hope President and CEO Samira K. Beckwith. “This is an opportunity to learn what more must be done as our population continues to grow and change.”

The conference is presented in partnership with the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, Florida Gulf Coast University, the United Way and Dottie Hummel Consulting.

The conference will be held at the Broadway Palm, 1380 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.
