Logan named new general manager at Horizon Village

Jim Logan has many years of experience in different, related fields, which made him the top candidate for the position of general manager for local Horizon Village.
He was recently awarded the post, one that made his goal of living in Florida full time a reality.
“We bought a vacation home here about four years ago and decided we wanted to move here,” he said. “We came here from northeastern Ohio.”
Horizon Village was recently named Best Manufactured Home Park in the 2009 North Fort Myers Neighbor “Best of North Fort Myers” reader’s poll.
Logan will be in charge of day-to-day operations at the park.
“We make sure to take care of any problems the residents have here and make sure things are running smoothly,” he said.
He started out as maintenance supervisor there last year.
“That’s when I got to know everyone. I like the people here, they’re wonderful, and this is what I like to do,” he said.
“Our people seem to like him a lot. He’s great to work with and very even tempered – you need that in a community like ours,” said Marketing and Sales Manager Margaret Black. “Many of our residents come down from the North, they may have needs like finding out where to obtain services in the community.”
Combining many years of experience in both the construction and rental business, Logan even has experience from the service where he served as a Navy Seabee, which is the construction branch of the Navy.
He is also a licensed community association manager.
Logan and his family, which includes his wife, Danielle, and three daughters, live in Cape Coral.
“I like to fish and hunt in my spare time, but I don’t get much of that,” he said.
Horizon Village is located at 9200 Littleton Road. The phone number is 997-1140.
