US-41 Self Storage hosts chamber after hours event
With a tropical theme complete with a parrot, US-41 Self Storage held the June North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event June 9.
“In this economy, it’s very important to know your fellow businessmen, to help each other survive and refer,” said company manager Janie Boldt.
Owner Tom McCormick agreed.
“Hosting an event like this helps us promote our business, which we feel has the lowest prices in town with highest value,” he said.
To make the event fun, a tropical themed party was held in the lobby.
Assistant Manager John Davidson’s brightly colored parrot Gino helped greet guests.
Attendees got to network with other local business leaders. There were many long-standing members and new members. Some of those guests were unusual.

The Fun Tree came in the door. The “guest” was promoting the business’ new address, which is 14130 N. Cleveland Ave., which is next door to US-41 Self Storage.
The Fun Tree costume and party shop had been in the area for many years and had moved downtown, but the owners decided to move back to North Fort Myers.
“Our next event will be Christmas in July, to benefit the local Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,” said Boldt. “We’re looking for donations of small toys and stuffed animals.”
The event will be held Saturday, July 25, at US-41 Self Storage.
US41 Self Storage serves North Fort Myers, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, with RV, boat and even wine storage, besides traditional units. There is a coffee bar, meeting rooms and free Internet access available with AC and non-AC storage.
US-41 Self Storage is located at 14150 N. Cleveland Ave. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The phone number is 656-0728.
Chamber Business Leaders Luncheons are held the third Wednesday every month, with June’s today at 11:30 a.m. at Bianca’s Ristorante.

After Hours Networking events are announced throughout the month. The cost to attend the after hours events is $5 per person and the event is open to public.
